So previously I shared 2 posts about Kiggster’s Halloween outfits. The DIY Ladybug costume when she was one and the DIY Bat Wings that she wore for one of the Halloween parties.  Kiggster’s final Halloween costume that year, per her request, was to be Princess Sophia from the Disney Junior show Sophia The First.  I know it is quite a bit after Halloween but I figured it’s still a nice dress up costume for anytime of the year!  I had someone make the dress, but I made her a princess treat bag and also a super nice amulet just like the one that Princess Sophia owned.  Well, as you will see in the pictures, she is not wearing an amulet because a couple days before Halloween, she wears the necklace out and loses it!  I am so sad, I had spent some time on it and she looked so cute with it on too but I never even got a picture of her with it!  But on a positive note, the Princess Treat Bag (tutorial at the bottom of post) turned out pretty well and Kiggster really liked it!  Wasn’t she the cutest Princess ever?!

DIY Princess Bag

Princess Treat Bag: It cost under $5 to make the Princess Treat Bag make her outfit.   I bought 2 pieces of felt (8.5″ x 11″) for $0.30 each, 2 ballet tutus from Dollar Tree, and then used wired ribbon that I had laying around for the handle and bows on both sides of the bag.  I sewed up 3 sides of the felt together, then sewed on the ribbon handles.  Then to hide the sewing of the handles, I made 4 ribbon bows and hand sewed it onto the bag.  Then I hot glued the tutus, which I tied together onto the bottom of the bag.  That’s it, all ready for trick-or-treating or even just as everyday use and dress up time as a purse!
